New members are often proposed for membership to The LTA by a referral from a current member. This means that the established member often knows the new member well and has worked together with him/her on various jobs or joint-projects in the past.

However, if you are a professional artisan, tradesman or tradeswoman having suitable qualifications and skills who would like to apply to become a member of our community, but don't know any of the current members, all is not lost. We would be happy to welcome any suitably qualified applicant for membership.

• We are all professionally qualified ourselves and so require that all new members are also:
  • Qualified to City & Guilds level for their particular trade
    
  • Criminal Records Bureau checked
  • Fully insured
